Weddings at All Saints

Congratulations on your engagement!

We are thrilled that you are considering a church wedding. All Saints is a glorious building and makes a wonderful setting, but it is also a vibrant, welcoming and inclusive community. We believe that marriage is joyous and sacred, and we would love to accompany you as you prepare to make your vows to one another in the presence of God.

“God is love, and those who live in love live in God, and God lives in them”
1 John 4. 16

Why get married at All Saints?

All Saints offers a traditional wedding ceremony with words and ritual of depth and meaning. We are an inclusive church and we are very happy to offer services for the renewal of marriage vows, or an order for Prayer and Dedication after a civil marriage. We would also consider marrying couples in which either one or both partners have been previously divorced. It would need to be demonstrated that the breakdown of the previous marriage had nothing to do with the current relationship.

At All Saints we strive to be a genuine community – God’s family in this place. As such we want to support you not only as you prepare for your marriage, but in the years to come. Please be assured of our prayers for you, as you decide where to be married.

Gay couples

We give thanks for love which is the very heart of God, and all those who show that love in their lives and their relationships.

At the moment the Church of England does not marry same sex couples, however a selection of readings and prayers for same-sex couples who wish to mark and give thanks for their relationship has been formally commended by the Church.

We would be delighted to offer these prayers for use as part of our regular Saturday service, or during Mass.

What we offer

Music

Our Director of Music will be happy to talk to you about options for music for your wedding.

All Saints has a strong choral music tradition, and a wonderful William Hill organ which can add glorious music to the service. If you have a particular piece or style of music that is important to you we will be happy to see how this might be included.

Flowers

We are fortunate in having a talented resident flower team, who understand the scale of the building and will be happy to meet and discuss what they can offer.

Order of Service

The vicar will meet with you to go through the order of service, including different options for readings, music, and logistics. We will happily put together an order of service for you. There are a number of printers locally who will be able to assist you with printing.
