Children and Families

Discover a place where children and families are at the heart of the community, from midweek stay and play to our Sunday ministry

Join us on Sundays

Our 10am Sunday service at All Saints is a place where children and families can feel at home. We have an all age service on the first Sunday of every month, where children and families join with the whole congregation in worship. On other Sundays, we have regular provision for Children’s Church (age 0 – 6) and Junior Church (age 7 – 10). Children are welcome to head out to dedicated spaces in the crypt or parish hall for a portion of the service, where we explore stories from the Bible, the liturgical year, the mass, and what it means to be a Christian. We come back and join the rest of the congregation for Communion. Parents are welcome to accompany children if preferred. On the third Sunday of the month, we provide Youth Church for children aged 11+. We get together for relaxed group activities, discussion, and Bible study.

We encourage children and teenagers to play an active part in our liturgy, with opportunities to take on roles as readers, servers and intercessors. We also have a Junior Chorister programme for children aged 7 – 15, where children receive a high quality musical education and sing with our Parish Choir twice a month.

If you’re joining us for the first time, our friendly team will be there to welcome you. To find out more, please contact our Children and Families Minister.

Cafe and Stay & Play

Our free Stay & Play runs every weekday from 9am–4pm, with a range of toys and activities to keep little ones happily occupied while grown-ups enjoy a coffee from One Bread Cafe. We have high chairs, plenty of buggy space, and baby changing facilities. Parents and carers are responsible for their children at all times while using the Stay & Play. We also run a children’s clothes swap which is available in the church every weekday. You can drop off pre-loved items and pick up something new.

Faith Formation and Life Events

We offer children of all ages opportunities to grow in the Christian faith, including baptism, first communion, and confirmation. Preparation courses for first communion and confirmation run regularly each year. We also support families thinking about baptism for their child.
