Exploring Faith

At All Saints we provide opportunities for people of all ages to explore the Christian faith throughout the year.

Compline with introductions to the faith

If you are interested in exploring Christianity, or are returning to faith – this space is for you. We meet at 7.00 pm for refreshments, with a talk, or discussion, then conclude with Compline (night prayer). The content of these sessions is determined by those who come along, so if you are interested in a particular aspect of the faith, or there is a topic you would like to explore further, let us know.

Compline usually takes place twice a month on Thursday evenings. Check our events calendar for dates.

Confirmation class

There is an opportunity each year for adults to explore whether they wish to be baptised or confirmed. There is an introductory course, with opportunity for discussion together with others at a similar stage. This course will cover the fundamentals of the Christian faith, and give space for reflection on our lives, and where we see God at work.

We also run a dedicated course for teenagers exploring baptism or confirmation.

To find out when the next course is running, please contact the Vicar.

Lent Courses

Each year we run a course during Lent, giving space to explore together a particular aspect of the faith as we prepare to celebrate the great Feast of Easter. Over the last few years courses have included a series reflecting on the Nicene Creed (celebrating its 1700th anniversary) and on Matthew’s Gospel.

Lent courses usually run after the service on Sundays, and also midweek. Courses will be advertised in the run up to Lent each year.

To enquire about the next course, please contact the Vicar.
