Laura studied drama at Exeter University and went on to gain an MA in Classical Acting from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Following that she had a career in the theatre performing in seasons at the Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare's Globe and in the West End. In 2016 Laura ran the viral mental health awareness campaign, #itaffectsme, which reached over 3.5 million people world wide and became a movement of hope, breaking down stigma and beginning many conversations about mental health. It was during this campaign that Laura felt drawn to work in the church and currently coordinates our homeless Night Shelter and monthly Caritas meal, catering for the isolated and vulnerably housed. Laura is passionate about inclusivity within the church and that all of humanity is loved by God and deserving of dignity.
