We are delighted that you are thinking of baptism for your child. We welcome enquiries about Baptism at All Saints.
Baptisms usually take place on the third Sunday of the month during the main 10.00am Parish Eucharist. The service lasts just over an hour. Visiting children are welcome to join the Sunday School or to make use of the children’s play area in the north aisle.
If you are thinking about Baptism for your child, we suggest that you join us for the 10.00am service one Sunday to see whether you think you could feel at home in our community. We can then arrange for you to have a meeting with one of the parish clergy either at the vicarage or at your home. Baptism is about welcoming someone (of any age) into the fullness of life in the Church and so demands an engagement with the life of faith.
If you have any questions please contact Fr. Phil via the Parish Office on 01273 733331.
Thanksgiving for the Gift of a Child
If you feel that you’re not ready to take the step of baptising your child but would like to give thanks and introduce them into the church community, there is the option of a service of thanksgiving for the gift of a child. This is a way of welcoming the child into the world and into the church community without making a commitment to become a full member of the Church.
If you would like to know more please contact Fr. Phil via the Parish Office on 01273 733331 or by email.
